HOLINESS BY THE CROSS OF CHRIST
Last week we paused and remember the sacrifice of Christ for our sins. He bought our holiness with His blood. So, it is fitting that we close this series by looking at the significance of His death, how it was foreshadowed by the sacrifices for sin in the times of the Tabernacle and the Temple, […]
FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT
There is no doubt: doing our part in letting the Holy Spirit sanctify us is a struggle, especially in our consumer-driven, media-saturated, fast-paced culture that relentlessly assaults our ability to be still and constantly appeals to the desires of our flesh. Listen to the lesson below about our fight against the flesh, the world, and […]
WORKING OUT WHAT GOD WORKS IN US PART 2
Last week, we covered God’s role in our sanctification and the first two of our three-part role in working out what He works in us. This week, we cover the third part: consecration, and how it expresses itself in obedience. Listen to the audio of the lesson, then meditate on the verses listed below and […]
WORKING OUT WHAT GOD WORKS IN YOU
In this two-part lesson, we take a closer look at God’s part and our part in the life-long process of sanctification. Listen to the audio recording of the lesson and scroll down for some passages of Scripture to ponder and questions to reflect on! BEING HOLY AND BEING MADE HOLY
In this week’s lesson, we look at the state of holiness God confers on us once we have been made righteous in Christ, and how that differs from the lifelong process of being made holy, which we call “sanctification.” Listen to the audio recording below, then take some time to look up the Scripture verses […]
TEMPLES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
One of the most amazing things about being a Christian is that, after repenting and receiving God’s forgiveness for our sin, we are born again of the Holy Spirit and He makes us His dwelling place. That is why we receive justification and sanctification instantaneously when God redeems us. His Holy Spirit, representing His holy […]
THE PLACE OF HOLINESS IN OUR SALVATION

Listen to today’s lesson, then study the passages below and prayerfully answer the reflection questions. Fasten your seatbelts, there is a lot to cover! Scripture verses: […]

LAYING ASIDE THE SIN THAT CLINGS SO CLOSELY
In my previous blog post, I promised to devote the next one to the problem of dealing with sin in our pursuit of holiness. In other words: how do I know when I am sinning and what do I do with it once I do know? Fasten your seatbelts, here we go! Before we delve […]
THE STATUS AND STATE OF OUR HOLINESS
As previously forewarned, I am on a holiness “streak” in my blog posts. It’s a subject I have been studying of late, feeling prompted to do so by the Holy Spirit. Not so much because I feel I’m not holy enough, but rather because I expressed my desire to know God better. God is holy, […]
